Special Thanks

visual-and-hand-net_200w.jpgSpecial thanks to the County of San Diego, Department of Planning and Land Use, for its assistance in securing a grant from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and California Department of Fish and Game under the Natural Communities Conservation Planning Program. This grant supported development of the Mammal Atlas Database, including GIS work, field surveys, and associated efforts.

Special thanks also to Kirsten Winter (U.S. Forest Service) for her assistance in securing funds essential to the daily operation of this project.

Specimen preparation and other routine collections management tasks are carried out by carefully selected, skilled volunteers. Anyone interested in volunteering in this or any other museum department should talk to the Museum's Director of Volunteers at 619.255.0245.
