Numerous mapping tools are available on the Plant Atlas website. The Collected Plant Distribution tool demonstrates the plant distribution mapping capability. This is a simpler and faster mapper than the Google™ maps, more appropriate for a user with a slower Internet connection. A plant can be selected by either scientific or common name, and the locations of all collected specimens of that plant will be plotted on one of five maps (Atlas Square grid, vegetation types, topographical, general county, and East County MSCP). The map is selected by the user.
